Sailaway Cottage No.8 together with its sister cottage next door - No. 6 - is approximately half a mile from the ferry slip on the beautiful Island of Cumbrae. It is two miles from the main town of the Island - Millport -which has an excellent range of shops, bank, post office, restaurants, hotel and several public houses! Buses to the ferry and Millport stop at the garden gate on request. Sailaway cottages are situated right on the water front and we even have our own landing jetty! The shoreline to the front of the house is also ours! The house is cosy comfortable and offers pretty sea views. The front garden, which gets the sun for most of the day, is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sea view across to Largs and beyond! Sailaway cottage No. 6 is very private, with its own car park and secluded garden to the rear. There is a wood burning stove in the lounge. There is full central heating throughout the cottage and the accommodation is suitable for the less mobile. Well behaved pets are welcome and there are some excellent walks in the area to enjoy.

THE ACCOMMODATION

Sailaway cottages are situated right on the water front and we even have our own landing jetty and private shoreline! The house is cosy comfortable and offers pretty sea views. The front garden, which gets the sun for most of the day, is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sea view across to Largs and beyond! Sailaway cottage No. 8 is very private, with its own car parking and secluded garden to the rear. The open fire has been retained in the dining room and a log burning stove has been fitted in the lounge. There is full central heating throughout the cottage and the accommodation is suitable for the less mobile. Well behaved pets are welcome and there are some excellent walks in the area to enjoy.

GROUND FLOOR: Lounge - a very comfortable room with log-burning stove, selection of board games. TV, video, DVD, CD and radio. Kitchen - electric cooker with ceramic top, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, ironing facilities, breakfast table, crockery, pots and pans, etc. Downstairs toilet and shower room. Dining room - seating for six people.

FRIST FLOOR: Bedroom Sleeping Four - 2 single beds with duvets, bunk beds with duvets, wardrobe, bedside table and sea view. Bedroom Sleeping Two - double divan with duvet, full en-suite bathroom, large wardrobe, bedside tables and garden view. Bedroom Sleeping Two - 2 single beds with duvets, wardrobe, chest of drawers and sea view. Upstairs separate toilet.

OUTSIDE: Front and back porch. Good sized private gardens to front and rear. Private car parking. Patio table and chairs. Prices are inclusive of oil-fired central heating and hot water. If required, coal and logs for the open fire and stove can be purchased locally. Although Duvets and Pillows are provided, bed linen and towels are not so please ensure you bring enough with you for your stay.
